Lake Huron & Georgian Bay Fish Telemetry Workshop

In partnership with:
• Great Lakes Acoustic Telemetry Observation Systems
• Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry
• Parks Canada – Fathom Five National Marine Park
• Together with Giigoonyag

The Saugeen Ojibway Nation will be hosting a workshop about acoustic telemetry.

The purpose of this workshop is to share our joint plan to install a lake wide (Lake Huron and Georgian Bay) acoustic telemetry array and to encourage involvement with this work.

Central to our array is data sharing and opportunity to use or add to the array in whatever capacity that might benefit your community.

This technology has the capability of answering important questions about numerous fish species on multiple different scales.

This webinar will take place April 27, 2021 @ 9:00am – 12:00pm EST. It will begin with an opening from an elder which will be followed by four presentations and a discussion period.
