About the Job
Reporting to the Corporate Policy & Economic Development Manager, the Economic Development Officer is responsible for investment attraction, development and economic growth and support. The incumbent provides high-level advisory services to new and potential investors, develops initiatives for countywide investment prospects, facilitates strategies to support growth in targeted areas and establishes relationships with representatives in the local/external community, government staff, local municipalities, and industry organizations.

·Post-secondary degree in Economic Development, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field
·Five years of previous experience in an economic development capacity, with two years of that experience in a supervisory role
·Experience with budget preparation and management
·Proven experience with resource management
·Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems
