Who can apply: Preference will be given to qualified candidates who reside in the former township of St. Edmunds as per the Park Establishment agreement.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates who are members of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation.

To be eligible, you must be:
-a full-time secondary or post-secondary student in an accredited institution
-currently recognized as having full-time student status by the academic institution in which you are presently enrolled
-returning to full-time studies in the next academic term
-the minimum age to work in the province where the job exists

Duties

Duties may consist of
• Collecting visitor fees and providing information
• Assisting with park interpretation and guided hikes
• Maintaining campsites, trails and assisting tradespeople
• Participating in ecological monitoring and restoration projects.

Work environment

Bruce Peninsula National Park /Fathom Five National Marine Park is seeking self-motivated, outgoing and creative individuals to join their team. Protection as a role is to inform, educate and inspire visitors about the local cultural and natural history and to promote Parks Canada.

Successful applicants will be confident, have strong communication skills, and be able to follow detailed instructions.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to hire students for summer 2019. Only students who meet the eligibility, language requirements, and hold a valid drivers licence will be contacted for further consideration.

Willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and required protective clothing.
